A Speech Introduction Form (MS Word, 8kB)
- This is a special form to help you organize the information needed by the Toastmaster to properly introduce you and your speech. It is best to save this file to your computer. Thereafter, you can use MS Word to complete it, print it and give it to the Toastmaster, preferably, prior to the meeting you are scheduled to speak at.

Using this form, you can relax before your speech. No longer will you have to run around trying to find an Introduction Form to scribble a few, 'chicken scratchings', the poor Toastmaster will be pressed to decipher.

This is a classic, Toastmasters win-win, situation. By preparing in advance, you must think carefully about the material needed to properly introduce your speech. By printing this and giving it to the the Toastmaster early on, they will have solid information to use in properly introducing you.

The net result is that you get a better introduction, and the Toastmaster gets to hone their speaker introduction skills.
As with most things in Toastmasters, one hand washes the other :-)

Information about Toastmasters International:

A few years ago, one of our members did an educational speech on the Toastmasters International Organization. Some of the charts used are included here for reference.

This chart is regularly updated to show exactly where our club fits in the TMI organization. To view, click here (PDF, 113 kB).

Next, is a chart from the original speech so it may be slightly dated. Toastmasters International Organization chart, by Bill Bienia, DTM. (PDF, 94kB)

This was developed by past TMI Director, Bill Bienia, of the Milton Toastmasters club. Like the one above, it outlines the TMI organization but in more detail. Bill shows the executive positions at every level of the organization all the way from World Headquarters to District, Division, Area, and Club levels.
